Bio
Registered Patent Agent and Legal Extern
Brett is a registered patent agent and legal extern focusing on strategic patent prosecution based on the unique Loyal Intellectual Property Law approach. Brett has worked on matters for businesses in the pharmaceutical, chemical, and mechanical fields. Brett’s experience includes patent prosecution and freedom-to-operate analysis in vaccine, 3D printing, extractive metallurgy, sonar, and firearm technologies.
Brett is currently completing a law degree with a certificate in Intellectual Property Law at the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law. Brett previously worked as a legal extern for an intellectual property law firm in Manchester New Hampshire, as a judicial intern for Michael A. Shipp, United States District Judge for the District of New Jersey, and as an intellectual property law intern at Merck & Co., headquartered in Kenilworth, New Jersey.
Brett holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Utah State University and conducted graduate research in the Environmental Toxicology Laboratory at Utah State University before becoming a registered Environmental Health Specialist. As an Environmental Health Specialist Brett enforced local, state, and federal health regulations gaining valuable insights into government regulatory processes. Brett’s interests include geopolitics, energy and transportation technologies, and outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing, and kayaking.
